    Brooder Huts

Brooder Huts are used for pheasant from one day old until they are released into the country side at around 7-8 weeks.

The night shelter is used until around 2 weeks, after which they then have access to the night shelter during the day. This helps harden the birds up to the environment without too much of a shock.

The shelter is half boarded and netting to the remainder with an Onduline roof to provide some protection from the elements.

The onduline roof in the hut is fully boarded with OSB to help regulate the temperature within the hut.

Depending upon the size hut you chose will depend how many birds you can fit in, here is a rough idea to the number of birds you can fit into each of our pens.

    6’ x 6’- 350 chicks

    8’ x 8’- 500 chicks

    10’ x 10’- 750 chicks

    12’ x 12’- 850 chicks

    16’ x 32’- 25,000 chicks (split into two 16’ x 16’ pens holding 12,500 chicks).

The night shelter comes in two standard lengths of 7’ and 10’ and is made to fit the width of the building.
